| About the program Mopani Junction, the radio serial drama about 'life and survival' which hit the airwaves in February 2003, was produced by The Media for Development Trust, and sponsored by the US Centers for Disease Control. MFD received invaluable support from its partners: Amakhosi, Moonlight Studios, The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and The Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council, and collaborated with the following organisations: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Child Welfare, National AIDS Council, Zimbabwe, Youth Council, Zimbabwe AIDS Network, The Zimbabwe Association of Church-related Hospitals, Zimbabwe National Network for People living with HIV, The New Dawn Foundation and Advocates for Youth. Mopani Junction, with offices and recording studios in both Harare and Bulawayo, was a homegrown product.
