The local Zimbabwean organization called “The Just Children Foundation” (TJCF) is a Christian organization that takes care of children in need in Zimbabwe.  Their core aim is to assist homeless children to get off the streets, and where possible, to rehabilitate and reunite them with adoptive families.  TJCF currently takes care of over 250 children not yet placed with families, in at least three of its centers in Zimbabwe.  Over 90% of the children under the care of TJCF are either infected with HIV or have somehow been affected by HIV and AIDS (i.e.: orphaned etc).  TJCF recently initiated a new program under which they will take in children given up by HIV positive parents, or whose parents have died as a result of HIV-related illnesses.  Five of these children are infants that TJCF took in starting late last year (2005) from an area hospital after they had been abandoned by their parents.  TJCF is faced with the challenge of providing these infants with baby formula, under a strict budget, and in a country where baby formula is difficult or impossible to come by.
